Psilocybin Assisted Therapy in Denver, Colorado

Because true healing is a process, never just a single experience.

What is Psilocybin Therapy?

Psilocybin Assisted Therapy uses dried psilocybin mushrooms to guide you into a non ordinary state of consciousness, typically lasting about five hours, that can bring unconscious material to the surface. This work is always paired with preparation and integration sessions, never offered as a standalone experience.

At OUR HOUSE, Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Retreat programs involve administering psilocybin in a professional, supportive setting with trained facilitators and therapist who provides psychological support throughout the experience.

Large modern trials, across hundreds of participants and multiple countries, show that psilocybin therapy appears medically safe and psychologically manageable when delivered in structured clinical settings with trained support as is provided at OUR HOUSE. In clinical studies focused on treatment-resistant depression, researchers have found that psilocybin therapy produces significant and rapid antidepressant effects in patients with major depressive disorder, with no serious adverse medical events reported. Other studies have observed

Early research suggests long-term increases in positive mood, life satisfaction, and social connection following professional, guided sessions. Benefits have been suggested for severe depression, PTSD, addiction, OCD, and anxiety related to terminal illness. While research continues to evolve, psilocybin-assisted therapy is increasingly recognized as a promising approach for emotional healing, personal growth, and overall well-being when conducted safely and ethically under trained professional guidance.

Who can provide Psilocybin Assisted Therapy?

Psilocybin-assisted therapeutic services are now legally available in Colorado. As of summer 2025, the state has finalized rules and regulations for regulated access to psilocybin mushrooms, and licensed facilitators are able to provide services within licensed healing centers.

Camila Pastor, LCSW and Nikki Fall, LCSW completed their 150-hour facilitator training and supervised practice with Fluence Training. With natural medicine clinical facilitator  licenses, they are now able to offer psilocybin (mushroom) facilitation and therapy services at DORA-approved centers in Downtown Denver, Colorado.

Proposition 122 also decriminalizes what is called "personal use" of psilocybin mushrooms. This means that it is no longer a criminal offense under State law to grow, possess, or ingest psilocybin mushrooms. Persons may also share or give away psilocybin mushrooms without remuneration (i.e., without payment) to persons who are at least twenty-one years of age.

What differentiates OUR HOUSE from other retreats or healing centers?

What makes the programs at OUR HOUSE meaningful isn't just the process itself—it's the care and intentionality Camila and Nikki bring to it. They take time to truly understand who you are, to explore what matters most to you, to thoughtfully co-create a path forward that honors your unique experience.

01 / Strong Therapy Roots

Decades of therapeutic healing expertise have gone into the development of OUR HOUSE programs that prioritize safety and trauma-informed mental health care. As science shows, positive mental health outcomes are related to the expertise and care that psilocybin therapy is provided with, rather than just the medicine itself. Working with the therapists at OUR HOUSE allows you to show up as you are, with any level of psychedelic or therapy experience, and be guided by an effective healing process, with thoughtful preparation and grounding.

02 / Expert Facilitation

Nikki and Camila are licensed Psychotherapists and licensed Clinical Natural Medicine Facilitators who know how to build a safe group container, connection and trust in the process. They are experts at holding space, energy, and trauma for your healing journey.

03 / Collaborative Energy

Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself. As licensed therapists with years of experiences working with mental health conditions and in groups, Nikki and Camila know that nothing is more powerful than working with psychedelics in groups and they are experts in facilitating a healing environment that amplifies the power if the medicine for greater benefits than working with psilocybin individually.

Is psilocybin mushroom therapy safe?

Psilocybin has been studied extensively at institutions including Johns Hopkins, Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research and Imperial College London, with positive outcomes for depression, PTSD, end of life anxiety and addiction.

There is no evidence that psilocybin is addictive or causes neurotoxicity.  Serious complications are rare when medical screening and monitoring are used. In fact, preclinical and human studies suggest psychedelics may increase neural plasticity, including synaptic growth and connectivity changes that may support therapeutic effects.

OUR HOUSE follows the Colorado regulated screening and intake process to ensure fit and safety for all participants. The process includes but is not limited to medical screening, individual dosing conversations, and 1:1 conversations.

Where do mushroom journeys take place?

Because the work at OUR HOUSE is 100% legal, sessions are held at Colorado regulated and licensed healing centers as opposed to private Airbnb’s or retreat centers that are currently outside of licensure.

OUR HOUSE psilocybin dosing sessions during the retreat weekend are held in-person in Downtown Denver, Colorado. Preparation and integration sessions are conducted virtually so that anyone from around the US or the world can join.

What conditions can Psilocybin therapy help with?

Clinical trials show psilocybin can bring meaningful relief for major depressive disorder, including treatment resistant depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, PTSD, social and generalized anxiety, and substance use disorders, often after just one guided session.

Is psilocybin assisted therapy a “last-ditch” effort?

Psilocybin assisted therapy is not just for people who feel they have exhausted all other avenues of healing or who suffer from severe or terminal illnesses. Psychedelics are also not just for ‘psychonauts’. Entering into a therapeutic process with psilocybin does not require previous psychedelic experiences and is suitable for anyone who seeks healing, personal growth and getting unstuck in their lives and in their negative thinking. Nikki and Camila teach psilocybin therapy with a long-term integration approach which will help you understand how to gain control over previous trauma and triggers to create real change in your life.

Can Psilocybin make me go “crazy”?

The risk of psychosis is very low in screened populations and serious psychiatric complications are rare. However, individuals with histories of schizophrenia remain at higher risk, which is why screening is important.

What is a  “Bad Trip” and can I have one?

When people talk about bad trips, they are usually talking about having felt overwhelmed by fear on their journeys. Overwhelm occurs when journeyers don’t understand the core psychedelic concepts and take mushrooms (or other psychedelics) in environments that don’t feel safe or supportive. OUR HOUSE focuses on preparation, journey and nervous system regulation tools to allow all journeyers to face their fears in meaningful ways to find healing in life. Psychedelics never put bad things into people’s heads. But every journeyer needs to understand the unconscious process to be equipped to journey safely and productively. To educate communities and journeyers around the world on how to journey safely with psilocybin, Nikki and Camila have created a psilocybin course that is accessible for all.

How does Psilocybin work?

Research from Imperial College London describes how psilocybin relaxes rigid, long held beliefs about identity, trauma and self worth, a process called REBUS, or Relaxed Beliefs Under Psychedelics. This temporary opening allows previously suppressed material to surface and the brain to become more flexible and open to new learning. To understand what this means in real life, after your journey, learn more about Integration which is the key to transformation with mushroom therapy.

How long does a Psilocybin journey last?

The medicine itself is active for roughly five hours. Because journeyers find their way into the medicine gently, with adjusting the dosage level by taking optional boosters in the early phase of the journey, a full journey can last up to 6 or 7 hours. Full packages typically include several preparation sessions beforehand and an integration session afterward. People typically benefit from several integration sessions, since the effects of one journey can continue unfolding for months or even years. OUR HOUSE is proud to offer donation-based monthly integration circles to support your healing process.

What does a psilocybin journey feel like?

Psilocybin experiences are deeply personal and shaped by many factors — including dosage, setting, and your own unique inner world. While every journey is different, guests commonly report some of the following:

Altered Perception — Colors appear more vivid, textures more intricate, and sounds more immersive. The world often feels fundamentally different to look at, listen to, and touch.

Heightened Emotion — Feelings tend to become more pronounced. Many guests experience deep joy, wonder, or meaningful self-reflection. Moments of anxiety or unease can also arise, which is why a safe environment and attentive facilitation are always our priority.

A Sense of Connectedness — A feeling of profound unity with nature, other people, or the wider universe is among the most commonly reported experiences — often leaving a lasting sense of appreciation and belonging.

Expanded Thinking — Thought patterns can become more fluid and associative, opening space for creativity and insight. This openness can also bring moments of confusion, which skilled guidance can help you navigate.

Shifted Sense of Time — Minutes may feel like hours, or hours like moments. Time perception during a session is often one of the first and most noticeable shifts guests describe.

Spiritual or Mystical Encounters — Many guests report a felt connection to something greater than themselves — an experience that, for some, becomes genuinely transformative.

What is included in an OUR HOUSE Psilocybin retreat therapy program?

The OUR HOUSE psilocybin assisted therapy group program includes an intake process, three preparation sessions, an asynchronous online course, two in person journeys in Denver (one low-dose and one high-dose session) and an integration phase. Integration begins at the in-person weekend in Denver and continues virtually for another 3 weeks with integration sessions and community group support.

Preparation includes the asynchronous psilocybin course and virtual, guided focuses on getting you ready for your journey with nervous system regulation, journey tools and clear intentions. The program is suitable for psilocybin novices as well as very experienced journeyers.

How much Psilocybin will I take?

Dosing is discussed and agreed upon together during preparation and during the journey. The approach is always “go low and slow” allowing each participant to find the dose that is right. We don’t always need a big dose to get benefits.

What does the preparation and integration process involve?

Preparation sessions build nervous system tools and help all journeyers begin accessing difficult emotions or “shadows” that they wish to work on during their dosing sessions. This approach allows for better nervous system regulation at the time of the journey. Participants build a trusted environment with each other and learn about how to best define their goals and intentions. After the journeys, OUR HOUSE teaches integration to create lasting shifts in daily life. No medicine session is offered without this surrounding support. Research shows that psychedelics have positive mental health benefits, when paired with preparation and integration.

Is Psilocybin therapy covered by insurance?

Insurance is not accepted for OUR HOUSE groups programs and no superbills are provided.
