Finding Your Anchor

In this practice, we’ll find an anchor—a place in your body you can return to anytime during your session if things feel intense, emotional, or unfamiliar.

Guided Body Scan

A body scan is a short practice where you notice sensations, soften tension when you can, and reconnect to the present.

If you notice this practice increases anxiety, numbness, or distress, that is information, not failure. Some people do better with practices that stay more external, like orienting to the room, gentle movement, or a short walk.

Breathing into the  Seven Energy Centers

Purpose

An ancient system of seven energy centers, originally developed in India, offers a powerful lens for restoring well-being. These centers, known as chakras, can be accessed through imagination, breath, and sensation. By gently bringing awareness to each one, you can begin to feel the alignment of your inner body and cultivate a healthier relationship with it.

Through simple attention and self-touch, you have the ability to work with your own energy. Use the chart to help you visualize each center as you move through the instructions.

For the purposes of this work, the chakras serve as anchors, drawing the mind into the body and sharpening inner perception. This is less a metaphysical exercise than a practical one: a way of coming home to yourself.
