What To Expect & Know About Our Program
What Is Group Ketamine Therapy
Ketamine Assisted Therapy uses lozenges that dissolve and are held in the mouth for ~15-20 minutes to take effect. Ketamine has rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hrs. after treatment and that can last for up to 2 weeks. Ketamine works by blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors as well as by stimulating AMPA receptors, which are thought to help form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. The benefits of Ketamine are cumulative when sessions are done in close proximity to each other. Following their expertise & experience working with Ketamine, and the clinical research on treatment-resistant Depression (TRD), Nikki and Camila developed a process with three, weekly subsequent sessions to aid in symptom relief and perspective shifts. In a multi-session model, Ketamine has been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.
Ketamine-assisted group therapy at OUR HOUSE involves working with Ketamine in a professional, supportive setting with two trained facilitators and psychotherapists, who provide psychological preparation, support and integration to help you create change in your life.
It is always essential to consider not just the healing potential of psychedelic medicines, but also the container in which healing takes place. OUR HOUSE works in a community container, because this container has shown to be more effective than individual healing. The OUR HOUSE community container provides safety from interpersonal harm, complete removal from legal risk, safe facilitation and the use of substances known to be free from harmful adulterants - and in recommended doses to not overwhelm clients.
Every step at OUR HOUSE is designed to help participants find safety, help find connection, and discover that the group itself becomes a quiet, powerful healer.
Why take Ketamine in Community?
Psychedelic group journeys let us experience other people with an open heart, often for the first time. That experience changes everything: our inner dialogue moves from guardedness to trust, and old walls start to come down.
Research backs this up. Group psychedelic experiences amplify the benefits of individual therapy, helping people move beyond old pain toward a more compassionate view of themselves and each other.
Medicine work is always about connection, about re-storing connection to ourselves. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the program content and the journey itself. As licensed therapists with years of experiences working with mental health conditions and in groups, we know that nothing is more powerful than working with psychedelics in groups.

Who is the OUR HOUSE program for?
This program is for anyone above the age of 18, who wishes to find healing and more calm in their lives. Every applicant will be guided through a thorough intake process, to understand whether this program is the right fit. OUR HOUSE facilitators, Nikki and Camila, are experienced trauma therapists and can hold clients with childhood trauma wounds, depression and more. Most clients are able to join the OUR HOUSE healing program for that reason.
For clients with severe, unaddressed trauma, active psychosis or active substance abuse, this program will not be the right fit at this time, and individual psychedelic sessions or talk therapy may be good starting point instead. Participating a group requires the ability to regulate nervous systems which can be learned, and is a key skill clients learn in individual therapy.
What Conditions may Ketamine Therapy support?
Ketamine-assisted therapy is associated not only with symptom reduction in depression, anxiety, OCD, substance use, trauma, relationship healing and more, but also with increases in openness, emotional processing, meaning-making, and life satisfaction. Many improvements have shown to be sustained for months after only one or two supervised sessions.

At lower doses, ketamine can disrupt negative feelings and preoccupations and help the brain create new, healthier patterns. Many describe it as a mental reset. Studies show that 50-70% of patients being prescribed ketamine for depression or anxiety experience a significant reduction in symptoms. Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic and participants have a high likelihood of experiencing dissociative effects during the first 2 hours following ketamine administration. Generally, the major impact occurs in the first hour, with full recovery to baseline by 3 hours. Participants may experience an altered mental state, with imaginative stream of associations, sensations and imagery as experienced with psychedelics. Each person reacts in different ways, and we cannot guarantee a specific experience. Our therapists are fully equipped working with non-ordinary states of consciousness and are experienced in dealing effectively with this state. All participants will be prepared for the benefits of these states of being.

Our medical provider will prescribe Ketamine to you after the virtual, medical intake. The medication will be sent to you home address. Other arrangements may be made on an individual basis, e.g. if there is concern for abuse potential. In that case, ketamine may be sent to us.
