Is Psilocybin Legal in Colorado?
Learn about the legal, regulated therapeutic framework approach for Psilocybin Therapy in Colorado.
What is Legal Psilocybin Assisted Therapy?
Psilocybin Assisted Therapy uses dried psilocybin mushrooms to guide you into a non ordinary state of consciousness, typically lasting about five hours, that can bring unconscious material to the surface. This work is always paired with:
Licensed Clinical Natural Medicine Facilitators | Colorado-licensed Psychotherapists | Colorado-regulated Medical & Mental Health Intake and Screening Process | Preparation | Integration | Ongoing Resources for Support
Psilocybin-assisted therapy involves administering psilocybin in a professional, supportive setting with a trained facilitator or therapist who provides psychological support throughout the experience and is able to offer support or connect you to support after your psilocybin journey experience.
Who can provide legal Psilocybin Assisted Therapy?
Psilocybin-assisted therapeutic services are now legally available in Colorado. As of summer 2025, the state has finalized rules and regulations for regulated access to psilocybin mushrooms, and licensed facilitators are able to provide services within licensed healing centers.
Camila Pastor, LCSW and Nikki Fall, LCSW completed their 150-hour facilitator training and supervised practice with Fluence Training. With Clinical Natural Medicine Facilitator licenses, they are now able to offer psilocybin (mushroom) facilitation and therapy services at DORA-approved centers in Downtown Denver, Colorado.
Proposition 122 also decriminalizes what is called "personal use" of psilocybin mushrooms. This means that it is no longer a criminal offense under State law to grow, possess, or ingest psilocybin mushrooms. Persons may also share or give away psilocybin mushrooms without remuneration (i.e., without payment) to persons who are at least twenty-one years of age.
What does your Natural Medicine credentialing in Colorado mean?
