IN THIS LESSON

The Psychedelic Experience

  • Heightened sensory perceptions and thoughts.

  • Alterations, changes or transformations of those perception.

  • Synesthesia, the mixing of various sensory channels.

  • Loosening of psychological defenses, allowing for previously unconscious material to emerge.

  • Dissolution of what can be called ego boundaries. That is a lessenin the distinction between our sense of self, and others, and in fact the world.

  • Nausea and vomiting - it occurs in less than 5% of cases and is welcomed as part of the experience as a sign of purging and letting go.

  • Ketamine occasions a kind of spaciousness of consciousness within which one might view their life and neuroses from a somewhat detached observer perspective.
Seeing things this way might allow for some movement toward healing.
